A collaboration between Melbourne composer Kate Neal and animator Sal Cooper seems a perfect Sparkkle Moment. As we begin the new working year, Escalated and Tinned Fish (from Commuter Variations Animations for Piano) take a wry, lyrical look at the commuter’s lot, while Novel Instrument needs no real introduction – just enjoy. What’s special about these short videos is how music and animation are so delicately and precisely in sync. The pianist is Lisa Moore.
